Public speaking and talks

I've been doing talks for a while now and so thought I should formalize it more. I've given talks to running stores, running clubs and the next talk I'm giving is to the Canadian Military. I can cover a variety of motivational, running and ultra related topics, so if you want to find out more, click here.

  1. Talking to the Mounties, eh? Are they considering ditching their horses a la Gordy?

  2. The blog title "I'm The Next Dean Karnazes" would get more Google traffic. Just sayin.

  3. Scott, fair point. But I've had people approach me and it's stupid to not make it available. Dean has a good gig and has certainly capitalized on his running. There's no money in the sport so the only way to make it the main part of my life is to take every opportunity possible (as an economist I didn't have a lot of time to fit in what I really love and that's not the way to live a fulfilling life).

  4. No more or less noble than opening a running store if you wish to make a living doing what you love. Congratulations on pursuing your dream.

  5. Speaking in public can be beneficial to both you and the public that you are speaking to. Interaction with your target audience is also a big plus in your personality development because it lets you socialize with people...
